I began drawing when I was about 6 years old. When I was about fifty years old I had published an infinite number of illustrations, but it was around the age of sixty-three when I started to understand the true essence of Nature, of trees, of animals with the fish and the birds.
From this I guess that at the age of eighty I will have made greater progress, that when I am ninety I will start to explore the mysterious world of forms, and at the age of a hundred I will be very close to that which can be defined as marvelous, and it will be at the age of a hundred and ten that everything in my works will be alive, even just a mere dot or the drawing of a line.
